【摘要】:TheFormandStyleforASTMStandardsmanualprovidesmandatoryrequirementsandrecommendedpracticesforthepreparationandcontentofASTMspecifications.Inordertopromoteconsistencyinthestyleandcontentofproductspecificationsunderitsjurisdiction,CommitteeB05recognizestheneedtoprovideasupplementarydocumentpertainingtothetypesofproductsandmaterialscoveredbyspecificationsunderitsjurisdiction.Thisguidecontainsalistofsectionstobeconsideredforinclusioninaspecificationforcopperandcopperalloys,recommendedwording,orboth,forsuchsections.AnelectronictemplateincludingcommitteeadoptedlanguageisincludedintheAppendix.Personsdraftingnewproductspecifications,ormodifyingexistingones,underthejurisdictionofCommitteeB05,shouldfollowthisguideandtherequirementsoftheFormandStyleManualtoensureconsistency.1.1ThisguidecoverstheeditorialproceduresandformandstyleforproductspecificationsunderthejurisdictionofASTMCommitteeB05onCopperandCopperAlloys.Note1Forstandardsotherthanproductspecifications,suchastestmethods,practices,andguides,seetheappropriatesectionsofFormandStyleforASTMStandards(BlueBook).1.2ThisguidehasbeenpreparedasasupplementtothecurrenteditionoftheFormandStyleManual,andisappropriateforusebythesubcommitteeswithinASTMCommitteeB05onCopperandCopperAlloys.ThisguideistobeappliedinconjunctionwiththeFormandStyleManual.TheAppendixcontainsacopyoftheB05electronictemplatewhichincludesadoptedlanguageforvarioussectionsandprovidesatemplatefordraftingB05specifications.Note2Thecontentsofthisguidewerepreviouslymaintainedasawhitepaperunderthetitle,"ASTMCommitteeB05OutlineofFormofSpecifications."1.3Subcommitteespreparingnewproductspecificationsorrevisingexistingonesshouldfollowthepracticesandproceduresoutlinedherein,andbeguidedbythelatestspecificationscoveringsimilarcommodities.1.4IfaconflictexistsbetweenthisguideandthemandatorysectionsofthecurrenteditionoftheFormandStyleManual,theFormandStyleManualrequirementshaveprecedence.IfaconflictexistsbetweenthisguideandthenonmandatorysectionsofthecurrenteditionoftheFormandStyleManual,theguidehasprecedence.1.5Whenpatentsareinvolved,thespecificationswritershouldrefertotheFormandStyleManualsectiononpatentsandtrademarks.Also,refertopartFoftheFormandStyleManualfortrademarkinformationandthesafetyhazardscaveat.
