【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverspolyethylene(PE)tubingpressureratedforwater(seeappendix).IncludedarecriteriaforclassifyingPEplastictubingmaterialsandPEplastictubing,andrequirementsandtestmethodsformaterials,workmanship,dimensions,sustainedpressure,burstpressure,andenvironmentalstresscracking.Thisspecificationdiffersfromthepipespecificationsintheiroutsidediameters.Methodsofmarkingarealsogiven.1.2Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixeswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Note18212;PEplastictubingisoftenusedwithfittingsthatrequireflaringthetubing.Thetechniqueusedtomaketheflareishighlyimportanttoproduceleak-freejoints.Forfurtherinformation,refertoPracticeD3140.1.4Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section7,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
